Our main goal is to give producers the ability to sell their products to local consumers in local communities.
In the not so distant past, a disease went through BC and wiped out roughly 95% of the hazelnuts within the span of a few years. After this happened, some producers and farmers reached out to us to see if we would be able to help the industry by taking over a production facility to give the growers a place to ship their crops. From there, the industry slowly built itself back up, but it is still not quite what it used to be. What was once dozens of commercial size farms is now only a small handful, but they still manage to produce more than enough hazelnuts to support the local BC market.
As a family owned and operated business, we are proud of our deep roots in the Fraser Valley and to be a part of our local community. Since we first opened our doors in 2016, we have worked hard to revitalize the hazelnut industry by helping farmers sell their quality products to local customers. We understand that, while growing is tough, distribution and selling can be even harder if you do not have the resources. That is why we are proud to give farmers the option to work with us, so that we can eliminate the stress while allowing them to sell more products to local consumers, while also reducing the amount of product that ends up being thrown away at the end of each season.
